Wellness

We believe that to create balance and peace within, there must be a focus on the mind and the body connection starting in early childhood and continuing into adulthood. Our Wellness program utilizes Therapeutic Yoga techniques to help develop mindfulness, anchor in the moment, and shift the energy that drives perspective and mindset. The overall practice of yoga and medication can elicit a relaxation response to help ease some of the discomfort that is felt during strong emotional feelings. Through therapeutic yoga, we can explore the physical links to emotional pain and create a transformation within the body and the mind. Our therapist will work to determine the emotional needs and create a plan incorporating psychotherapy with physical movement. The blend of mindfulness, meditation, breath work, and yoga asanas (poses) work together to aid in the management of stress, anxiety, depression and help overcome traumatic experiences.

Therapeutic Yoga is additionally designed to help children learn to regulate their emotions and behaviors while also helping with their balance, coordination, cognitive flexibility and concentration. Children are often unaware of how their emotions impact them or ways to express themselves. Our wellness program will help them to gain more control over their emotional responses and become more mindful in their actions and responses.
